CALLAHAN AWARD

The Callahan Award is voted on by the entire college ultimate community and is given to the player who most exemplifies the sport. From the Callahan website, the award "has been established to recognize the most valuable players in college ultimate. Each year a trophy is presented to the top player in the men's and woman's division who, in the eyes of his or her peers combine superior athleticism with outstanding sportsmanship, leadership and dedication to the sport of ultimate."

The voting for the Callahan happens after Regionals and the winner and runner-ups are announced at the Saturday night party of the UPA College Championships.

ALL-REGION TEAMS

Beginning in 2002, each year the UPA recognizes the top 7 players and a freshman-of-the-year (FOTY) in every region. Each team that participates in the UPA College Series is able to submit a vote for its region's All-Region Team and FOTY. The voting takes place after Regionals and before the UPA College Championships.

NUMP ALL-COLLEGE TEAMS

For the first time in 2005, the National Ultimate Medial Panel voted on a first and second All-College teams. The players honored by this distinction were selected by the NUMP panelists based on the play after that year's UPA College Championships.
