| After losing a heartbreakingly close game in the quarters of Regionals in 2005 11-12 to Brown, Tufts ended up finishing tied for 7th and out of the running for one of the three bids to the UPA College Championships. Tufts qualified for the championships in 2000 and 2001 and is eager to make a repeat appearance this season.
After solid fall performances in the semifinals at Coffee Cup, Huck-a-Hunk-O-Burnin'-Pumpkin, and C.C.C., this year could be the best shot Tufts has had in awhile to break out of the region. The team returns a core group of upperclassmen, lead by senior Meghan Cain, who played on the mixed club team Six Trained Monkeys during the fall. The team also benefits from the coaching of Sangwha Hong. Hong has been with the program for two years now and has a solid system in place. Watch for Tufts at competitive tournaments such as Trouble in Vegas and College Southerns. |
