| The UC-Santa Barbara Burning Skirts made the semis of Southwest Regionals in 2005, before losing to UC-San Diego. With a big returning squad, the Skirts will be looking to improve on their record this year.
The team only graduated three players from last year: Cindy Ryals, Yael Kisel, and Randi Watts. The top-heavy roster is full of experienced seniors with chemistry together. The main players leading the fray are Alden Fletcher, Claire Fletcher, Allison Maddox, and Jamie Hermosa. These women combine great throws with athleticism and have already turned heads during the fall at the Sean Ryan Memorial tournament. UC-Santa Barbara is a team on the rise and should not be overlooked. The Skirts will be working hard to upset the top three in the Southwest. |
