UVA was one of the 2005 Big Four of the AC Region that was consistently in the top 15 of any national poll. Despite a very successful season, the Agent Orange ladies ended things early with a Regionals' finals loss to NCSU. 2005 also brought on the graduation of standout player Katie Klein (2004 and 2005 All-Region Player) and Kirsten Clemmens, Molly McGeorge, and Megan McVey – which will all be very hard shoes to fill.

This year 2004 Junior Worlds player Andrea Duran (#29) and 2005 Freshman of the Year Becca Curdy (#8) will attempt to lead the ladies of UVA to a successful 2006 season. Although their showings at the Wolfpack Invitational (4-2, losses to NCSU and Florida) and CCC (1-6, win against UGA) are only moderately promising, this team is notorious for having dangerously good spring seasons and should not be dismissed thoughtlessly.

Look for UVA to be at QCTU this year and then possibly Terminus, Hellfish, Centex, and/or Easterns. They should still win the Blue Ridge section but not without a fight from up and coming programs.
